Sony chip cards & key fobs

The major lock and access-control brands build their credentials on Sony chips — and so do we. Security ID Systems supplies cards, key fobs and credentials using genuine Sony silicon, encoded by specification for the system you run, at a fraction of OEM pricing. We are independent and not affiliated with Sony.

Sony chip cards — common questions

Do you use genuine Sony chips?

Yes. We build these credentials on genuine Sony silicon — the same chips the major lock and access-control brands use — and encode them by specification for your system. They are independently manufactured access credentials, not Sony-branded retail products. Security ID Systems is independent and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Sony.

Which Sony-based formats can you supply?

We currently document 3 Sony-based formats, 1 of which are rare formats with no equivalent sold elsewhere online. If the exact Sony-based credential you run isn't listed, send the part number or a sample — we cover more than we publish.

Will these work in my existing system?

Yes, when encoded correctly. We match the chip platform, data structure and — where applicable — your facility code and card-number range, so the credential presents exactly what your readers expect. We confirm compatibility before production.
