How the compatible HID KeyScan C15001 (legacy variant note) works
The HID KeyScan C15001 (legacy variant note) is a 125 kHz low-frequency proximity credential — the band most legacy prox readers use. Its data structure is 36-bit KeyScan C15001 format - facility/OEM code + card number + parity (HID-FSK-encoder lineage of C15001). When you present a credential, the reader decodes that exact structure and passes it to your access-control panel as a card number it recognises.
