The Mul-T-Lock SMARTair / i-max (contactless smart card / ISO 14443-A memory card / AES-secured smart card / iCLASS) is a 13.56 MHz high-frequency contactless credential read over the ISO/IEC 14443 air interface. Its data structure is SMARTair encoding; multi-format (Classic encode-friendly, AES-secured smart card / iCLASS keyed). When you present a credential, the reader decodes that exact structure and passes it to your access-control panel as a card number it recognises.
