The Yale nexTouch / Yale Assure (ASSA ABLOY commercial) is a 13.56 MHz high-frequency contactless credential read over the ISO/IEC 14443 air interface. Its data structure is MIFARE encoding via the host access system (nexTouch integrates with 3rd-party panels); the format follows the host panel (often HID prox or MIFARE). When you present a credential, the reader decodes that exact structure and passes it to your access-control panel as a card number it recognises.
