Who This Service Is For
This page is for gym owners, 24-hour fitness operators, multi-site club groups and facility managers who issue member credentials — fobs, key tags, clamshell cards or wristbands — as part of their access system. Whether you're running a single-site boutique gym on a legacy prox reader or a franchise group with dozens of doors across multiple cities, the sourcing challenge is the same: reliable bulk supply of the right format at a cost that makes sense per member.
Branded member cards and fobs sold through your access system's manufacturer carry a significant premium over compatible alternatives, and they frequently require purchasing through a dealer channel. For operators who reissue credentials on a monthly basis due to member turnover, the per-unit cost compounds quickly. Compatible credentials sourced directly reduce that cost substantially while maintaining the same enrollment and read performance at your existing readers.
Member Credential Formats We Cover
The majority of commercial gym access systems rely on one of three underlying technologies. The most prevalent in older and mid-range installations is 125 kHz low-frequency proximity — specifically EM4100 read-only chips and 26-bit Wiegand-format credentials. Our 125 kHz LF proximity cards and fobs cover both of these, and the EM4100 vs EM4305 vs T5577 chip guide explains the differences between the read-only and writable variants if you're unsure which applies to your installation.
More recently deployed gym systems — particularly those that support mobile credential or multi-factor entry — often use 13.56 MHz high-frequency smart cards, with MIFARE Classic 1K and MIFARE Classic 4K being the predominant choices for general member access. These are issued as 13.56 MHz HF smart card credentials built on genuine NXP silicon, enrolled into your system's database the same way any issued member card would be. If your access platform has moved to MIFARE DESFire for its higher-security applications, we also supply compatible blank DESFire credentials — these are blank cards your own system enrols with its own application keys.
A smaller subset of gym operators runs proprietary reader formats from commercial access control vendors — Gallagher, ICT Protege, or Schlage — where a dedicated facility-code batch is needed. We supply Gallagher compatible proximity cards, ICT Protege compatible cards and Schlage Aptiq compatible cards in programmed batches to match your existing facility code and card number range.
Key Tags, Fobs and Cards in Bulk
Gym credentials need to be durable, compact and easy to carry. The most practical form factor for fitness club members is the key tag — a credit-card-thin or teardrop-shaped credential on a ring that attaches to a gym bag or keychain. We supply these in both 125 kHz prox and 13.56 MHz MIFARE variants, in quantities from small top-up batches through to full member-base volumes for multi-site rollouts.
For operators who prefer card-style credentials — used with lockers, check-in kiosks or secondary doors — we supply standard ISO CR80 cards in the same formats. Custom printing with your club logo, member name fields or sequential numbering is available; our bulk ordering guide covers what information to include with a quote request to ensure your print run arrives pre-numbered and ready to enrol. Wristband-style credentials for pool or spa access facilities are available on request, particularly in 13.56 MHz MIFARE formats suited to moisture-exposed environments.
If you manage multiple sites running the same access platform but potentially different reader vintages, our blank programmable credential range allows a single stock to be programmed to whichever facility code or sector key each site requires — reducing the number of separate SKUs you need to maintain across your operation.
Fast Reorders for Member Churn
24-hour gym models and high-volume fitness clubs see consistent credential turnover: members join, cancel, lose their fob and request a replacement. At facilities with hundreds or thousands of active members, this generates a steady background demand for fresh credentials that needs to be met quickly and without minimum order quantities that force you to overbuy for a single replacement run.
We maintain format profiles on file for repeat customers, meaning reorder batches do not require you to re-specify your facility code, card range or chip variant each time. For operators who have confirmed their format and placed an initial batch, subsequent reorders can be processed against the stored specification. This is particularly useful for franchise groups or management companies running the same access system across multiple locations — one format profile serves all sites in the same deployment.
Lead times vary by format and quantity; standard 125 kHz prox key tags and EM4100 fobs typically ship faster than programmed smart card batches requiring specific sector configuration. Contact us to discuss your expected monthly volume and we can advise on stocking arrangements that keep you from running short between orders. You can also review our apartment building access credential service or office building access card supply if your organization manages mixed-use properties alongside fitness facilities.
Request a Quote
To receive a quote for compatible gym access fobs or member credentials, provide the following: your access control system manufacturer and model (or the reader brand visible on the entry door), a sample credential if available, your preferred form factor (key tag, card or fob), approximate quantity and whether you need custom printing. If you are unsure of your format, our card format identification guide walks through the most reliable ways to confirm what technology your readers are using before you order.
We work with independent gym operators, franchise groups and property managers who include fitness facilities in a larger access system deployment. Compatible fobs and key tags are also available through our broader gated community and HOA fob replacement service for residential developments that include on-site fitness amenities. Send us your format details and we'll confirm compatibility and provide lead time and per-unit pricing for your required volume.
